Who is responsible?

Logicos, also trading as Logicos Software, is responsible for the personal information we process for this website. Our address is De Lijsterbes 25, 6942 TM Didam, Netherlands. Our Dutch Chamber of Commerce registration number is 97161705.

This notice covers pliro.co.uk: browsing pages, playing examples, contacting us, registering for the Pliro newsletter and the purchase route described below. The desktop IDE, licence activation and classroom sessions also have separate data flows.

Ask a privacy question

When you visit

To deliver a page, the hosting service receives technical connection information, such as your IP address, the requested page and information sent by your browser. Such information may also be needed to investigate errors and misuse.

The marketing pages contain no advertising trackers or analytics code and do not set cookies for those purposes. Fonts and images are supplied with the website. A payment service or another website you follow a link to may use different settings.

Games and the playground

The website loads the Pliro playground at playground.pliro.wiki only when you open a game. That service receives your browser connection, the originating website, the selected language and a random identifier for the game session. The included examples run in your browser; no account is required.

The playground can remember your language choice in your browser’s local storage. Clear the playground’s website data to remove that preference. The marketing website does not send your edited example code to an account or a public gallery. Do not put names, addresses, passwords or other personal information in an example.

Pliro newsletter

The newsletter section fetches the current consent wording directly from the Logicos licensing service. That service receives technical connection information, such as your IP address. Only when you tick the box yourself and submit the form do we send your email address, selected language and the version of the displayed wording. We ask for an adult’s email address, not a child’s details.

The service records the exact consent wording and version, language, source, time and a keyed hash of the IP address. A new subscription becomes active only after you use the link in the confirmation email yourself. This consent is separate from purchases; it creates no account or licence. You can unsubscribe using the link in each newsletter or email privacy@logicos.software.

Ordering a licence or subscription

The order form asks for your name, email address, country and, if supplied, company name, VAT number and discount code. We process the selected products, quantities, quote, renewal amounts, your explicit acceptance of each product’s terms and the order status.

The website sends these details through our server to the Logicos licensing service to calculate the price, handle your order and deliver the licence and purchase email. The form in your browser does not connect directly to the licensing server. For a paid order you go to the offered payment provider, Mollie or Stripe. You enter bank or card details there, not in the Pliro order form.

On return, the website checks payment status with the licensing service. The temporary order reference is removed from the address bar and is not saved in browser storage. Confirmation may display your licence key. Refreshing clears this temporary access; keep your purchase email. Buying does not give permission for marketing.

Checking your postcode and delivery address

For British postcodes our server uses postcodes.io to check and format the postcode. Only your postcode goes to this service. We do not send your building, street, post town, name, email address or order. A geographic district is not a postal address: you enter your building, street and post town yourself. Northern Ireland addresses use manual entry.

For Dutch delivery addresses, your postcode and house number can fill in your street and town. Our server uses postcode.tech for this. Only the postcode and house number go to that service, not your name, email address or order. Your browser does not connect directly to postcode.tech. You can also enter or correct the address yourself.

We retain the lookup result for 48 hours in a private address cache, without linking it to you or your order. We reuse it during that time to avoid unnecessary requests. Expired results are refreshed when requested again or removed during a subsequent cache cleanup.

Contact and why we use information

When you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments. We use them to answer your question or provide support. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or full licence keys. Include information about a child only when it is really needed for your question.

For a quote, order and delivery, we use information to take steps towards a contract at your request or perform that contract. We process legally required records to meet our obligations. Keeping the website available and secure and answering general enquiries serve our legitimate interest in operating the service. We ask for consent for the Pliro newsletter.

Storage and service providers

The website uses hosting and storage to deliver pages and keep registrations. Email, licensing and payments also involve the services that carry out those tasks. A payment provider additionally handles information under its own privacy notice. Registering or ordering does not make your information public.

Registrations use private storage. Order references and licence keys do not belong in public links or analytics. To ask which providers handle your information, where it is processed or which safeguards apply to transfers outside the EEA or the United Kingdom, contact privacy@logicos.software.

Keeping and deleting information

Retention depends on the purpose: providing the Pliro updates you requested, handling your enquiry or order, and meeting applicable record-keeping and legal obligations. You can unsubscribe from the Pliro newsletter through the link in each message. For the newsletter, you can withdraw consent and request removal at privacy@logicos.software. Closing the form or clearing browser data does not remove a registration already stored.

A deletion request does not always mean that every order record can be erased immediately. Ask us which information and retention periods apply in your situation.

For children and their adults

Pliro helps children and other beginners learn to program. You can read the information and play the examples without entering a name, date of birth or learner profile. Ask a parent, guardian or another authorised adult to help with registration, purchasing or a privacy question.

This website does not create classroom records. If you later activate the IDE, share a project or join a lesson, other information may be needed, such as licence and device details or information you deliberately share with a teacher. A school must explain how it handles learner information. This website notice does not replace that explanation.

Your privacy rights

You can ask what personal information we process about you and request a copy, correction or deletion. Depending on the circumstances, you can also request restricted processing or data portability, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions.

Email privacy@logicos.software with your request. We may need information to check carefully that it comes from the right person. You can also complain to a competent data protection authority: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom.
